¿Puedo participar virtualmente en la conferencia?
No es posible participar a distancia en la conferencia. Todos los participantes deben estar inscritos en Dodoma, Lund o Lima. La idea de los elementos híbridos es conectar los tres hubs entre sí - por ejemplo, que los participantes de un hub puedan unirse a algunas de las sesiones de los otros.
¿Cuántas ponencias puede incluir mi panel?
Su panel debe incluir un máximo de cuatro ponencias, preferiblemente tres.
¿Cuál es la diferencia entre un panel de un solo sitio y un panel híbrido?
Un panel de un solo sitio tendrá lugar en uno de los tres lugares y los participantes podrán asistir desde allí. Un panel híbrido también tendrá lugar físicamente en uno de los tres lugares, pero se retransmitirá en directo para que puedan asistir los participantes de las otras sedes.
Mi resumen se ajusta más a los temas del centro de Lund, pero me gustaría participar en Dodoma. ¿Qué debo hacer?
Los temas de los distintos lugares son sólo una orientación general de los temas en los que se centrarán los centros. Es probable que podamos cubrir varios temas en cada hub, por lo que hay muchas posibilidades de que su presentación encaje también en Dodoma. Por favor, seleccione el lugar al que más le convenga desplazarse.
¿Puedo participar en la conferencia como estudiante universitario?
Sí, los estudiantes y los investigadores en la fase inicial de su carrera son bienvenidos a participar en la conferencia.
¿Cuándo recibiré la respuesta a mi presentación?
Todas las presentaciones de la conferencia han sido revisadas por comités locales en las tres ubicaciones y se han enviado las respuestas.
¿Cómo está estructurado el programa?
Para hacerse una primera idea del programa, eche un vistazo aquí. Tenga en cuenta que se trata sólo de un borrador y que aún podríamos introducir cambios.
¿Cuál es la diferencia entre paneles híbridos y plenarios híbridos?
Panel híbrido significa un panel que se retransmitirá por streaming para que todos los participantes de las tres sedes puedan acceder a él. Una sesión plenaria híbrida significa lo mismo, pero no en paneles paralelos, sino en una sesión plenaria en la que participan todos los participantes.
¿Proporcionarán algún tipo de ayuda para los gastos de viaje o habrá exenciones de tasas?
Era posible solicitar apoyo hasta el 15 de marzo y las personas que recibirán dicho apoyo serán notificadas antes del 1 de abril.
¿Habrá apoyo para el cuidado de niños en la conferencia?
Los organizadores de la conferencia no organizarán el cuidado de niños, pero estaremos encantados de ayudar a conectar a las personas que quieran autoorganizarse.

Where do I find practical information about the conference?

Can I participate virtually in the conference?
Remote participation in the conference is not possible. Every participant needs to be registered either in Dodoma, Lund or Lima. The idea of the hybrid elements is to connect the three hubs with each other - e.g. that participants in one hub can join some of the sessions in the other ones.
How many paper presentations can my panel include?
Your panel should include three paper presentations to leave time for discussion. Panel sessions are only 90 minutes; 5 for people to arrive, 5 for an introduction, three presentations of 15 minutes each, and 10 minutes for process time will leave you with 25 minutes for discussion. You can suggest up to four papers, if need be.
What is the difference between a single-site panel and a hybrid panel?
A single-site panel will take place in one of the three locations and can be joined by the participants there. A hybrid panel will also take place physically at one of the locations, but will be livestreamed so participants from the other hubs can join. We have a limited number of hybrid panel sessions only.
My abstract fits more into the themes of the Lund hub, but I would like to participate in Dodoma. What should I do?
The themes listed under the different locations are just a broad orientation for what the focuses of the hubs are. We will likely be able to cover various topics at each hub, so there’s a good chance that your presentation will also fit in Dodoma. Please select the location that is most suitable for you to travel to.
I am publishing a book and would like to launch it at the conference. Will this be possible?
Yes, you are welcome to submit a book presentation. Please select “individual abstract” as the submission type and include a brief description of your presentation (max. 200 words).
Can I participate in the conference as a university student?
Yes, students and early-career scholars are highly welcomed to participate in the conference.
When will I get feedback on my submission?
All conference submissions have been reviewed by local committees at the three locations and responses have been sent out.
How is the program structured?

What is the difference between hybrid panels and hybrid plenaries?
Hybrid panel denotes a panel that will be streamed so that all conference participants across the three sites can access it. Hybrid plenary denotes the same - only not in parallel panels, but as one plenary that all participants observe/participate in.
Will you provide any support for travel costs or will there be fee waivers?
It was possible to apply for support until March 15 and the people who will receive such support will be notified by April 1.
Will there be support for childcare at the conference?
The conference organizers will not organize childcare, but we are happy to help connecting people who want to self-organize.
